Ignorance is every where. I wouldn't worry about others but I do wish racism and discrimination would disappear. The more people continue with racism and discrimination the more this world will continue to be the same. I'm one of those wacko Christians BTW and I don't care what people think of me. Being white and being Christian I've had many people call me many names make fun of me and just be straight out rude. But what am I to do. If I stoop to their level it doesn't make me the better person it makes me lesser.

The only thing I would ask is; is that how your parents taught you to treat others? Do you not see me as a human or another person? Don't I deserve respect?

All people deserve to be treated with respect but only in a perfect world would that happen. You be you and don't worry about other people. I respect the Muslim especially the women for the simple fact when you see a Muslim woman in public she doesn't flaunt her body to entice me. No she shows self-respect and respect to other women and their husband's.

Anyhow we should all love one another for we are all neighbors. Peace will only come when respect is given and love. We are all human beings that bleed the same hurt the same and breathe the same.

Oh I find it so sad that people choose to act this way. It would be SO hard to ignore but truly remembering who you are and how wonderful you are because of the good things you do will always bring yourself above the negative.

As a "wacko Christian" proud and practicing Catholic we don't have 50 children because we like to "screw" on the contrary we're ok with practicing abstinence within our marriage instead of playing God and using birth control.  As for not getting crap for having more than what society thinks it's an ideal number or children, people in my family get awful things said to them.   "You have how many children??..oh I would've killed myself by now" among other rude and unecessary comments. People should just mind their own lives and respect each others differences.

I know its hars to ignore it I'm a black woman of color and it happena to me and especially my husband everyday.  Clinching of purses being followed by store managers getting stopped for no reason. I know its hard to ignore just remember judgement day comes for all who will have to answer to the lord.

Oops. Didnt mean to post yet. ....
our good friends are hubbie- white and wife -  black and they get harassed everytime they drive through the south, where she is from. Our neighborhood (Denver really) is really diverse and we have many more "mixed" families than not anymore.

I'm sorry you had to through that, people can be so ignorant. I am Caucasian but my husband is Hispanic, we have gotten comments about having a mixed race child and other ignorant remarks. Just hold your head up and know that you are an amazing Mom.

Ooo i would've flipped, that's so you're choice don't let it bother you, my boyfriend is Palestinian therefore our baby is half as well and my Co worker was taking about how the "Camel Jockies" and "sand n****s" bothered her on certain numbers you call for services or numbers that call you randomly and i looked at her and was like okay first of those people on the phone are from India second what makes you so much better of a person when you use derogatory names for people you obviously know nothing about, she turned purple lol she felt so dumb. Oh and it was in a doctors office with a line of patients at the desk too

Yea I get it I wasn't trying to bash on your post or anything it just made me think of all the stereo types people have for every faith or religion its just how it is I totally agree it shouldn't be thay way but the way we've all grown up specially here in the states people judge first ask questions later. I can admit I tend to be the same sometimes but I try not to do that cuz we don't know the situations with other people.

Sorry....as a "wacko Christian" (Catholic actually) I get looks and comments all the time, many times in my own family. So perhaps that was out of line. At the root of religion, many orthodox Christians (Catholics), Jews, and Moslems believe the same thing that God sends blessings, and we pray for them in abundance. I believe anywhere you go in the world where that idea isnt accepted you will get looked down upon and it is just a fundamental part of our religions that we must take in stride....by the way, the reactions are much, much worse in capitalistic industrialized nations. Don't get me wrong, I am American through and through- it just demonstrates the narrowness of "free thinking democracies" most of us live in.

Something funny to me I am catholic, but if Christians read the bible properly they would be veiled also. Because they are supposed to be modest in attire also.

I think you are beautiful to stand up and follow your beliefs. I support you 100%, and if I would have heard her she would have no teeth left.

Haha I was explaining a double standard.  I used to be in a Pentecostal church and it was soooo common.  Like families of 10 etc
I never actually said "all Christians" like you did. I was mentioning it because the person she encountered said she "felt bad for her kids" I was just mentioning an extreme thats silly. When she has 2 and is judged harshly.  Thats all.

I can't stand it. Theres no excuse. Especially in this day and age!
I dated a man whos father ranted and raved about how he was in Louisiana and he had a bad experience with black people. So he didnt like them.
I asked him how he managed to never ever in 60 yrs have a bad experience with a white person. He wasnt impressed. My grandfather is from Jamaica and I told him that.  He just about lost his mind. Needless to say Im not dating that man anymore and haven't spoke to his family since. Wackos.

Everyone is different every race religion everything peoples belifefs even if your the same religion like jewish muslim christian  whatever it maybe be some believe in it diff then others like the stereo type that all christians like to have a lot of kids I can honestly say most I know dont feel that way and I don't. And looking at people are the same like just becuase people that might have been born in Iraq or something are automatically terrorist people are quick to judge Its not right but its how this world works unfortunately.  The best we can do is keep love in our hearts no matter what and teach our children better in hopes that it changes someday.

The world unfortunately, is full of idiots. You just have to hold your head high and know that you are better than them, and let the good people affect your life, not the negative ones. Hugs.

I totally understand where your coming from. As a 26 year old black female I experience racism quite a bit. I never say anything because people will just say im playing the race card. Girlie keep your head up and I know sometimes it can hurt. You know who you are and thats all that matters!!!  Much love to you....

Yeah but the wacko Christians that pop out like 50 kids "for God" don't get a word mentioned to them. Just admit it people you like to screw, god wont hold it against you lol haha

I think people find it extra weird when they see converts. They have a sorta" how could they turn their back on their own kind?" Sorta attitude which is ridiculous. I especially can't get over it here in the US. ...a country Founded on religious freedom!

Wow , I dnt cnt belive the word "colored" is still used anywhere , im a convert aswel so I find it extra weird wen im getting comments and looks from people that are actually the same race as me not that they know that cuz I guess they think im arab with the scarf on(regardless its still racism if im arab or not) , I know the best thing to do is ignore them and I did cuz people like just aren't worth a second but I guess being pregnant,  I got extra ticked off! Lol
