viability ultrasound tomorrow morning...

I'm so nervous for it.  A year and a half ago, I was pregnant and went in for my viability ultrasound, and they found that my fetal pole was deformed.  Baby wasn't getting a lot of nutrients, and over the weeks, grew very slowly.  Ultimately, it was pneumonia and a viral infection that caused me to lose my baby at 13 weeks, but I digress.

Tomorrow is my viability ultrasound for this most recent pregnancy.  I am 7 weeks today.  I'm just so nervous that I will get bad news again.  I want nothing more for the doctor to just smile, point out a tiny little blip on on the screen, and say "Your baby looks healthy!", but I have my doubts and fears.  After 3 years of trying, and so much heartache, could it really go right?  Is it really my time?  Could this be my Christmas miracle?

Thank you, everyone!  Ultrasound went great.  Perfectly healthy little 7w2d fetus floating around in there.  Heartbeat was so amazing to see.  :-)

First off I am sorry for your previous loss. If you are only 7 weeks I would wait another 2 weeks before you get the scan done. You could be way earlier than you think and won't see anything on ultrasound. When I went at 10 weeks for my scan baby only measured 6 weeks. Luckily there was a heartbeat to reassure me. I am now 31/6 weeks with a healthy baby girl.

Good luck! I had my viability scan last week after having 4 miscarriages in the last 18 months. I know how you must feel. I was terrified! She asked if I was excited and I honestly couldn't even speak. Everything seemed fine for me but I can't say I am any more relaxed unfortunately.  My follow up viability scan booked in for new years eve. I hope my anxiety will start to subside by then. I want to enjoy my pregnancy as I'm sure you do to! Fingers crossed for you!
