I also meant to add that "bikini" underwear fits differently on each woman. If you think it will rub against a c-section, don't wear them. The ones I had went just under my belly button but above where a c-section would have been had I got one. Just wanted to clarify a little. I only took one pair of those but the rest were "grandma". They were the most comfortable.

Yes, definitely bring your own towels. All those bodies on them and they are rough feeling! Just yuck.

*THIS IS WHAT I BROUGHT* (Other than 2 towels)
pajama's. I got something bigger than what I normally wear so I would be comfortable.
House shoes
socks. Feet tend to get cold in those rooms at night.
toothpaste/toothbrush
deodorant
I wore the hospitals pads even though yes, they're really big, but my fear was bleeding onto my clothes and not having anything else to change into. But I did bring extra with me just in case I didn't wear them home.
If you pack panties, I would go with the bikini or "grandma" kind. So if you have a csection, it's not touching anything sore. I bought new ones to take to the hospital in case they got ruined, I could throw them out when we got home.
Camera. Although we used our phone more than that.
Extra outfits to take pictures of baby in. The hospital will dress them in a little shirt, but I took extra.
If you have to make a stop on the way home that's unexpected, I would pack a small diaper bag. I just put wipes and a few diapers in it.
The hospital usually has bottles to give to baby if you opt not to breast feed. At MY hospital, they allow you to take them home. So we did. Just incase I couldn't breastfeed.
One other thing is every hospital is different. Sometimes their toilet paper is a little rough. Could possibly be a good thing to bring something a little softer. If you have to get stitches, you'll have to pat dry but it was a little rough using that toilet paper.
Shampoo/Conditioner/Body wash. What I did instead of buying travel sizes of them is buying JUST the little travel size bottles. Their like .97 cents at walmart if you are around one. I poured my own into the bottles.
Took phone chargers.
I took my makeup bag just to dress up a little for pictures after I had the baby. (Both times)

We took that much because you can never predict how a delivery will go and how long you'll be at the hospital. I hope this helps you think of anything you may need or want to do.

Bring a soft towel and q tips. You will be glad you did, the hospital towels are the size of a hand towel and feel like sandpaper, and they do not have q tips they say their a nono.

Depending on what your hospital provides - nappies, bottles/formula if you take that route, and plenty of changes of clothes for bubs!
