what should I do? x

Im timing contractions every 4-5 mins there not extremely painful but very uncomfortable like a sharp period pain starting in my back then workin its way round lasting just under a minute. Should I wait till my waters break before going to hospital?
Im a first time mum im 40+6 today. Iv had 2 membrane sweeps one being today xx

Have you got a birthing ball? If so get bouncing they help loads. Just try and keep active as painful as it maybe. Gravity will help loads. A nice warm bath will help the pain side of things aswell. Hope its not to long now xx

Hospitals have varying policies on this.  Some will say to wait until you can't speak through a contraction, some say wait until contractions are three minutes apart, etc.
Your best bet would probably be to call up your l&d and see what they say.  Good luck!

Your water doesn't always break, sometimes they have to do it for you... I'd go in. Worst thing that'll happen is they'll send you back home :-)
