10 week appt

Hello,
I have an appt. tomorrow and I will be 10w 4d, do you think they will use the doppler to try to find the hb?  Also, I FINALLY have the symptoms of having to go to the potty every 5 minutes which is slightly reassuring but no sore bb's. First baby, bb's hurt immediately, 2nd baby not until  8-10 weeks, this baby, (hard to believe their is one w/lack of symptoms) but my bb's are still tiny (sucked dry, ha ha) and feel fine. Any thoughts? thanks! Kellie

Yes, my Big Boy will be 1 on he 14th!!  Yeah, that's the way I cook them. Lily and Blake are 19 1/2 mo's apart and Blake and the new baby will be 18mo's apart. I'm hoping they will be the best of friends and that mom makes sure she gives everyone their special time!

Kelly - great heartbeat!  Just remember - every pregnancy is very, very different from each other - believe me.  Isn't it almost time for your baby's b-day?  I can't believe it's only been a year since you had a baby and here you're pregnant again - happy times!

Congrats on hb.. that is great news.  At my 10wk appt we heard it but it was so faint and it took her forever to get even the faint sound...  It is so reassuring when you get a good strong signal.

I'm sure you will still worry (we all do) but hopefully this will give you peace for while.

thanks Helen and Tanker, excited/nervous this morning. My sister has my doppler and I just sent her an e-mail to leave it on her porch so I can pick it up after my appt. (she won't be home) I'll let you know!!! We hopefully will be scheduling my NT appt too. I think I'd like that scan AFTER the triathlon, he he he

I was able to find a h/b with a fetal doppler at home at 10 weeks so it is possible your ob will do that at your appt.  It's not always possible to find a h/b though at this early stage so my ob actually did an u/s @ 10 weeks.

Also, my bbs were not sore at all.  I know it is a common pregnancy symptom but not all women have it.

Good luck tomorrow!!

This pg is way different for me... last pg, my bbs hurt right from the beginning, I wasn't tired at all in the first trimester and I had an inquenchable thirst...  This time I was so tired the first trimester I began to wonder if I had made a mistake and it didn't stop at the end of the first trimester... I am just now really starting to feel like myself again... This time my thirst seems to come and go.  I was that way for a while but now it seems to have passed... Oh and I almost forgot... the first pg, I have chronic intense heartburn.. everyday.. so far this time I've been heart burn free (knock on wood)..

Good luck at your appt tomorrow... let us know how it goes..

Thanks Pam, it's just weird, so hard to believe I'm pregnant.  After I hear the hb w/the doppler I'll be thrilled!  I have seen the hb on u/s at 7 weeks it's just that one of my close friends had a hb at 6 weeks and then when she went for her NT scan, it was gone. I don't know why I think I'll follow that. I have had 2 m/c's but of course there have been no signs, well, no signs of anything ha ha!!. Thanks for the reassurance, I'll sure post after my appt!

Hi Kellie, yes, your OB will use the doppler at this point, and I'm confident you'll hear the hb!  How exciting!  Isn't it weird how you can have different symptoms with pregnancies?  I didn't have any with my 1st, well...yes, I did pee alot, but nothing like I have now!  It's payback for a blissful 9 mos with my son : )  Let us know how your apt goes tomorrow!  Pam
