45 and pregnant

I just found out I am pregnant at 45... I am so scared. I have 4 children 24, 20,15 and 5. My 20 yr old is having a baby this month and my 24 just informed me he and his wife are having a baby. This should be time for me to enjoy being a grandmother and I find out I'm pregnant.  I haven't said anything to my kids I'm so scared. My husband is so happy.... I'm so scared. Anyone else out there who may understand?

Wow! Go you! Don't worry, just enjoy it! If your kids aren't as happy for you as you are for them, then they're the ones missing out! I'm 39 and got about a month left on my first, having miscarried every other time I've caught so to be in your position with 4 already, 2 who're already grown up..... you are so blessed!!! :-)

I just had my little girl at 45 and my daughter had hers 5 days later.  We carpooled to all our appointments.  It was actually quite fun sharing this special time together. Now we enjoy getting our tiny girls together to compare how they're growing and developing. My pregnancy and delivery couldn't have been better!   I did struggle with my feelings right at first, but I'm so glad I have this sweet little girl snuggled up with me at this moment. Each child is a gift from God!  Enjoy it to the full!

I'm 42 and due on my 43rd Birthday!! Don't fret over it! Obviously this is meant to be and you should approach it as though. Your children will understand seeing that you didn't go out and try to concieve. Let things fall into place as they will and know that the entire family is Lucky for all the blessings headed your way
