Big baby
I'm due August 13th, with baby number six, last baby! Since I was 35 at the beginning of this pregnancy they monitored me with extra ultrasounds due to age and a miscarriage at 20 weeks over four years ago. At my 20 week scan the perinatal doc said baby looked great, measured on time BUT if I wanted to came back around 32 weeks to get 3D pics I could. Of course! I ended back over there around 31 weeks, baby was measuring around 4 lbs 5oz. On the chub side. So he scheduled me again at around 34 weeks, and he was measuring 6lbs 5 oz. Plus more amniotic fluid then the norm. I passed my gestational diabetes screening so no issue there, and I did check for downs and other testing to make sure he was ok. Never did I get 3D pics because he was stubborn! He said something about mentioning to my OBGYN @ being induced. When I seen my OBGYN last week she stated she was unsure of what his note said about my lil guy and would contact him etc..
I see my OBGYN Thursday. Has anyone gone through this having a chub baby and being induced early because of it?? And if so, how early did they induce?

Thanx for the advice ladies! I'm hoping to get induced at 38 weeks just because I wanna be done, but I'm sure 39 weeks is more the reality! And I know those measurements could be off but still I'm ready. House is in order, cleaned from behind the stove and fridge today! Plus this is a new home we barely moved here in mid February! I have everything packed only issue is no car seat/stroller combo I like so far. So by the end of this week I need to make a decision just to have it ready! Can't leave the hospital with no car seat handy!
With my second one I was induced at 38 weeks and he was 7/9 oz. Not to big but very chubby cheeks.
I'm also due on the 8/13/14. But will be Induce on the 30 of this month. I'm a diabetic and also my babu has been measuring abouy two weeks more. At 32 weeks he was close to 6 ilb. I feel so heavy this is my third chubby baby. Right now I feel lime puking and I'm extremely hot. I don't know what to do.
I am 39....I just found this out as well. I am 36 weeks my.baby is 7lbs and 5oz....I have extra amneo fluid. Passed all of my tests. I cannot help but worry about delivery since my last two was under 6lbs. I go this Friday to see how much fluid is really there. Then to see my doctor again. I hope he schedules me for something.....my baby is huge....I am measuring at over 40 cm/weeks as well.
I'm so ready to just deliver! I wanna have this fear lifted off me already! I'm praying I come out of this safe along with my baby. He's more important than me though. But I'm terrified, and never had fear to deliver because I already know what to expect, this time it's different!
I'm 39 but tom only ten wks with baby number six. Its funny u say u are having vivid dreams of going into cardiac arrest. Ive been getting weird heart beats and flutters thos ones really putting a strain on me it is scaring me...
Kind of scary knowing he's so big. Plus it's worse when you have vivid dreams of going into cardiac arrest during delivery, and that was before they told me about my baby being so big. I hope things work out for you and delivery as well. We're sitting ducks!
Wow we have somethings in common I just turned 36 also on my 6th baby and yes this will have to be the last my body just can't take it anymore but I am a gest diabetic two weeks ago my baby girl was 6 lbs+, and my stomach measures like I'm 41 weeks my doc is thinking a c section for me just because I look so big but she won't induce or set up anything till at least 38th week hopefully we will last that long... but ya they induce between 38th or 39th week so they won't get bigger its to dangerous for both u and the baby but just relax is what they told me there is no since in working ur self up because we are not there yet.
