Early pregnancy question

I am 38 yrs old, and 4 weeks pregnant again after miscarrying 2 months ago. On the ultrasound yesterday, the doctor could barely see anything except my uterine lining thickening and a tiny, teeny barely visible spot that might be the sac. She says usually they don't see anything at 4 weeks and not to worry. Is it normal not to see much on a 4 wk ultrasound? Also, I don't feel any pregnancy symptoms, except fatigue, which is actually not that abnormal for me. Is this common?  Thanks for your help!

Your doctor is right. 4 weeks is much to early to see baby on an ultrasound. Usually baby can't be see with until around 7-8 weeks. And, not all women experience early pregnancy symptoms, or symptoms may come and go randomly. Try not to worry and try to enjoy this special time. Congratulations and good luck!

I would not expect to see anything at 4wks. I as high risk for ectopic, and my RE wouldn't do u/s until 5wk2d.

The only symptoms I had at 4wks was mildly sore bbs, mild heartburn and increased thirst.

The fact that he saw anything at all is a really good sign.  Hang in there and congrats.
