First pregnancy

I'm 39 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I am six weeks and my first appointment was today.  We did an ultrasound and they could not see much today; very disappointed. What can I expect from the next three weeks?

It is truly amazing to see how quickly Baby transforms from a jelly bean-looking creature to an amazing little person.  It's kind of humbling to know our bodies are capable of doing such a magnificent thing! Congratulations & good luck with your pregnancy!

I'm 35 & 29 weeks with my 1st pregnancy. I didn't have my first appointment until 9 1/2 weeks. The doc did our 1st ultrasound as well & baby looked like a little alien, but a beautiful little alien with a yolk sac on top of his head. It was surreal to see. At 19 weeks, they did our anatomy ultrasound & that was cool! He had transformed into a regular looking baby & it was so cool to see him move around.
I know right now it sounds like 9 weeks & 20 weeks is so far away, but it goes faster than you think. I still can't believe I'm almost 30 weeks! It's crazy & awesome to see all the stages that you & your baby go through. It's amazing.
I wish you all the best.

Congratulations! You couldn't see much because it's very early in your pregnancy. By next appointment, you should be able to see more.
