Who's pregnant and over 35?

Just curious if anyone here is actually pregnant?  I am 41, had 2 mc's, and a little over 5 weeks pregnant the natural way.  I just don't know what to expect at my age and it appears that most everyone here is trying to get pregnant.
I am scared about another mc and genetic issues.
The only other community I found is filled with 20 something's that really aren't in the same boat, but quite nice.

I'm 36 and 5 1/2wks pregnant I have a 16 &13 yr old. I started having pregnancy symtoms at 4 wks Nausea tenderbreast cramping frequent urine and night sweats with positive hpt I feel hungry frequently but I remember faint too much before so I'm afraid to eat too much so soon! I get ultrasound on the 9 no tests yet but Dr told me about all the ds testing that I can have but I'm not going to have anything invasive done. Just have to think positive as it has been 13 yrs since I went through this.

I'm 40 and 6 weeks 3 days, however started bleeding, had a scan, but wasnt visible due to fibriod, waiting for result of blood tests to know if all is well or miscarrying. Very sad and scared, had a mc last year and told the chances of it happening again as slim.
No children yet.

I'm 40 pregnant with my second child. I'm at 6w5d and can't wait to see the doctor.  I had my daughter at 38 and everything was ok but, I worry about all the risks of mc or genetic problems.  Does everyone worry as much as I do?

Hi! I'll be 36 in a couple of weeks and am 10 weeks pregnant with my second child (who is 6mths old).  It's very normal to be afraid of mc and genetics...I am worried about it now as I am diabetic and I worried about it with my 1st pregnancy.

I'm 41 and 17 weeks. I am so tired all the time. I do have 3 kids as well. I am not testing for downs as we won't terminate but we just did the neurotube defects test yesterday. So just praying for the best but I realize where my over 40 status puts me. Good luck to you!

I'm 41. Concieved naturally. Had 1 mc a year prior to this pregnancy. Took a whole year to get pregnant again. But I noticed that when I just relaxed and quit counting fertile days..etc. I got pregnant. It was hard to quit worrying about trying to concieve, but one I did.... Now I'm 20 weeks pregnant.. feeling kicks and praying all keeps moving along well and healthy. Oh, and I have a 15 year old daughter. My hubby is 37. Good luck to you!

HI, chiisme1. I am 37 and pregnant with my first also, about 8 weeks along. My husband is ecstatic, as am I, but I am also scared. There are so many things that can go wrong. I just keep praying that I will be lucky enough to have a healthy baby in January.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and best of luck to you!!

Hi there...
I am 43 and 18 weeks pregnant with my first.
We TTC for 2 years...1 Year with IUI and injections...All BFN's.
After a suspected MC in Dec I went off all meds, stopped charting temps and just stayed with prenatal vitamins.
In February I realized it had been a while since LMP and had a BFP au naturel!!!!! Was blown away!!
Words I live by.....take it one day at a time...and celebrate every single day that I am pregnant..no matter what happens.
For me having faith and lots of positive support has been key!
So happy there are so many of us to support each other!!
Hugz to all!!

Hi, I am 39 and 7.5 weeks pregnant--conceived naturally (and by surprise, I might add). I'll be 40 when I deliver. Thus far, just tired/a little nauseous, but since this is my first, I have nothing to compare it to, so I guess things are going well!!! Baby's measuring great and has a heartrate of 166. It's an adventure, that is for sure!

great news!.......
I had 1% of chance of my child (as per the blood test) to have T18. i didnt do the amnio and since it was 1% only i took the risk.( 1 in 50 chance)

Jacob was born 1 week ago and he is a perfect child!.... super healthy and too gorgeous.

I had so many  bad moments thinking because of this test and i was so scare since I am 42y/o. this doctors should be more careful the kind of stress they put you through.

tx adgal..tx tiger!

god bless you all

Hi, I am 43 next week and 31 weeks. I had my first two in my early 30's and they were a breeze compared to now. All I can say is that my body just doesn't cope as well. I think maybe I am getting a little old. There are also lots of risks with age ie Downs etc. My risk was/is 1:20 which is scarey. Still unknown if this little guy will have any problems.

Hi Jackie. I'm 42 and in my 28th week with my first baby. I've had a relatively uneventful pregnancy beyond some bleeding in the first trimester. I went through all the genetic counseling and testing and everything is A-Okay so far. My advice to you is that as long as you feel good try not to worry too much. I went crazy trying to get pregnant for over a year, 9 IUIs, almost had my husband have vericocele surgery for his low sperm count. The odds were so against us that we actually just gave up and I got pregnant practically by accident the next month. Now I seem to be finding out that there are a lot more women over 40 who conceive and have healthy babies than the scary statistics elude to. Feel good and don't worry.

Welcome! I will be 43 in March and have to agree with the ladies! No question is too weird or strange. My mom passed away 6 yrs ago so I get to ask questions speak my thoughts and just be with others in similar scenarios. I am, hopefully, almost 7 weeks along. Got pregnant naturally again after m/c in September... Enjoy  the camaraderie!!!

Hi Jackie,
I am 42 and 13 weeks pregnant.  I conceived naturally my first month trying.  I was so scared the first 12 weeks and am still nervous but feeling more at ease.  I had a cvs done at 11 1/2 weeks that showed I'm having a boy with no chromosomal problems.   I currently have 2 girls ages 12 and 9 so we are so excited.  Good luck with everything and congratulations:)

hi jackie
Im a mum of 6 children and I gety to my 24th birthday and was in my prime again and I just new i wanted another baby so by the time i was 35 i started trying, my preg was difficult as i had so much fluid i was concidered a high rick due to this i looked 7 mths at 14 weeks lol, but bub was healthy as i just had to go to hospital for my last 6 weeks, when they broke my waters bringing me on 2 weeks early i had an average of 10 ltrs of water and yeah the room was flooded lol. out of all my 6 births this is the only one with this. i had ulterasounds done every 2nd day and he was born naturally in a 14 hr labour, and is very cheeky today running around while. we r ttc again to give Xavier a little sibling to play with since all the other children range from 18-12 the little Xav at 14 mths lol.
dont worry your self sweety just try n ytake things alittle easier and enjoy its an experiance that will leave u and your hubby forfilled for life, i cant describe the feeling and all i can say is relax and ENJOY this its priceless.
