lactation

How late in a pregnancy can you start lactating
Im 37weeks and have not had to wear a bra pad. Will i be able to breast  feed?

Yep, milk doesn't come until about 2 days after u have baby.  But once ur milk comes in, u will have to feed baby and or pump to store ur milk for later so u dont get engorged.  Trust me engorgement can be very painful and the only way to relieve the pain is to get the milk out of ur boobs.  I breastfed my son successfully for 10 mos, we were pros at it! :)

I had the same experience as ramyamommy. Some leak but not all and has mo influence over whether you can breastfeed or not.

You have to breastfeed hourly for about 15 minutes on each breast 24 hours a day to get your breasts to start producing milk it's a lot of hard work and sore nipples to get breast milk to start coming in

I have never had breast milk start leaking out of my breast before I actually started breastfeeding a baby
I only needed the pads after my milk came in which took about 3 days to a week after I started breastfeeding
