spotting in between periods

I am 35yrs old and had a baby 7 months ago. My second child. After I gave birth i got my peroiod after 2 months later in October. A month after my period i noticed some light pink blood after i wiped. This happened on the 14 day after my period. This happened a couple of time only on the 14th day and then nothing.  I had seen my doctor and he told me that it could be my hormones.  I also had blood work done and everything came ou normal.Well now my baby is 7 months and 2 months ago i didn't spot. This month Feb 15 i had a period and 14 days later i started to spot again after i wiped. But the blood was darker redish pink. I just had a pap done yesterday and the nurse didn't see anything. No bleeding. This morning after i had gone to the washroom I noticed light clear pink on the paper. Should i be concerned? I am very worried that it might be cancer. Should more testing be done?

One thing I forgot to mention, is when I wipe I know without looking when its going to be pinkish red or brown, you get a lot extra discharge and it is slippery when you wipe. Not to be gross but it seems like ovulation, another dr. told me you can also spot when your NOT ovulating. I also get bad mood swings, No night sweats though only thing I do not have, hope this helps to know your not alone,

I want you to know, this happened to me one time when I was 29 or 30 once a year, then in my mid thirties it started again, lets say 5-6 times a year only mid cycle like yours. I thought it was due to ovulation as this can happen, though some dr.s try to convince us this is not NORMAL, it is, read posts on Spotting. When I turned 39 it happened a bit more, now I am 44 and it happens almost every month. My dr. checked me ran a massive bunch of tests on me, all normal, also did pelvic and pap. My dr. told me it was definitely hormonal not to worry and chart when it happens since I started charting I noticed it only happens mid cycle and only when I wipe. Never needing a pad. I also have pain in my lower pelvic area and sometime my back like a period is coming but it doesn't I have my period every 34-37 days my spotting happens anywhere from day 14-18 not all days just a couple only when I wipe, I know it is frightening but I was told it is only hormonal and at the age of 35-45 expect the spotting to be perimenopause. Don't let it scare you, were getting older, also my breasts get really tender after spotting. Post more infor if you can, so we can help one another
