tachycardia in pregnancy

Hi,

I am now 34 weeks pregnant, After 24 hrs EKG i recently diagnoised Tachycardia ( min 82 bpm ,average 96 bpm and maximum 134 bpm) My doctor told me that i dont have any other heart problem ,just my heart working bit fast.
He now prescribed me betablockers medicine,Is it safe to take betablockers in third trimster ?because sometimes i experience some Low BP.but i am feeling comfortable not any other problem after taking lot of liquids.I am bit afraid how tachycardia affect my labour?Any suggestions are welcome

Hi..I've been on a beta blocker since before I was pregnant. I was on atenolol before but when I got pregnant I was switched to metoprolol (both beta blockers) because I was told it was less risky to the baby. I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and am being kept on a low dose of it, although I will say they have had monthly measurements taken of the baby and fluid via ultrasound because taking the medication increases the baby's risk of intrauterine growth restriction. I've been on it the whole pregnancy and it never affected my baby's growth but that's everything I was told. And i also, have always had low BP.... Hope that helps :)

Hi!  I'm having the same problem with Tachycardia.  My heart rate is anywhere from 105-148.  They put me on a beta blocker last week. I'm 27 weeks this week.  I have the same concerns and questions.  :)  Hope you are well.
