trying for number #2

Well as you ladies know, us in our upper 30's don't have much time to waste and with 40 knocking on dh's door we decided to start trying for #2 in Aug 08.  Jacob will be 6 month then.  

We aren't going to waste a bunch of time ttc naturally. I've been down that road before and for me, it was a dead end.  So once Aug gets here, back to the RE I go.  I'm so excited, I can hardly wait.  That is only 4 months away. Yay!!

Well I am glad I am not the only crazy one!!!  My original plan was to start trying again in August for a summer baby this time!  The only problem is that the docs said to wait one year after a c-section!  So, I am not sure what to do about that one.  But I must say the thought of being pregnant again in 4 months is not that appealing to me!  I have been enjoying life without heartburn and indigestion lately.  Of course my first trimester was pretty nice, just the later stages that were more challenging!

If your marriange is "trully happy" it doesnt need to be perfect...go for it! God bless you and your family!
I have a 11 month old and I just found out I am pregnant again...not by choice...my marriage is not the safest thing in my life ( nothing to do with cheating) is more about our personality differences. Its strange how you can love, miss somebody and know you're so different. I question myself eveyrday if it is possible to survive these differences! Now we have a stronger reason to put our best efforts: by christmas we will have our two children and two dogs!I love my son so much...despite a very turbulence pregnancy he is perfect ! he is happy and healthy!

hi hannah,
glad to hear you and your little one (jacob) are doing well. i think its great you will be trying for #2 in august. i think its smart you are heading to the RE instead of wasting time. when i had my son in 2005 (dh and i got pregnant on the second month of trying naturally). when we decided to have another baby i couldnt get pregnant and ended up at the RE. your body definately changes and along with our age there is no time to waste. best of luck.

that makes me sad :O( since we are gonna wait till April 09 to try again,,,it just works better with my  schedule at school we want another baby later in the school year so I will only have to go back for a week or so then summer.  I LOVED BEING PG WITH EVERYONE..but hey I will be there for you all the way.
We aren't gonna mess around next time either goin to DR in April and gettin clomid again.  good luck that is right around the corner :O)

I'm so happy to hear that you're going ttc!!!  Only four months like you said...not long, huh?  I'm a little jealous as I think our baby's probably going to be basically an only child unless I decide to go through another embryo transfer - who knows??  Anyway, I'm very, very happy for you & think of all the experience you already have!!  Next one will be a breeze............

AAAwwww...what a compliment to your little guy and to motherhood!  My 2 were 22 months apart and I would not change it for the world.  I also would have had 6 more if nature would have allowed.

I agree with you and say go for it!! I think its great your kids will be so close in age.  I too would like to do the same as you.  Im praying to make it thru one healthy pregnancy at a time.  But if I could have 2 close in age I would in a heartbeat! I wish you the best on your fertility voyage. And keep us posted!

yay!! i was at the dr for addys shots and a mom had 2 girls 16 months apart and i thought how great!!  its true sometimes it does come naturally the second time around, i hope in your case it works out that way.

I would like to try again soon after Brayden is born just so they will be close in age (there is 7 years difference between DD and DS), but I also want to BF Brayden until he is AT LEAST 1.. maybe even 2.

Good for you Hannah!! I started to try about 5-6 months after dd was born. Had 1 m/c and then got preggo again when dd was 11 months.

OMG I am so happy for you.. that´s what I want to do but dh wants to wait 2 yrs.. that will put me at 37 when we start!!!  maybe I can talk him into it hahaha  good luck!!

Who knows??  Sometimes #2 comes naturally....My co worker had miscarriage issues and finally with lots of Dr. help she maintained a pregnancy and had a gorgeous son.....only to find herself pregnant again less than a year later with nothing but mother nature helping!!!!!
