two weeks late..

Hey.. i am not two weeks overdue for my period.. i did a hpt over a week ago now but it was negative.. am experiencing a little nausea.. did have an increase in vaginal discharge but thats stopped now. . am bloated and the other night i had lower back pain that came out of nowhere..

I have four daughters. so you think i would know for sure what was going on.. but the negative pg test really threw me..

Posted a week ago, but now its two weeks overdue thought i would post again.. see if anyone has any ideas?

OK...let's see...so, if your LMP was November 26, your fiance left on your cycle day 9 (December 4). You could have ovulated that day, but I doubt it could have happened much earlier (ovulation on CD9 is very early). HOWEVER, sperm can live inside of you for up to five days, so intercourse prior to that day can still get you pregnant...even if you ovulated after your fiance left. So, let's say you BD'd the day before he left, on cycle day 8 (December 3)...the absolute latest day you could have ovulated and still gotten pregnant from that "encounter" would be on cycle day 13 (December 8). I bet it happened before then...but that means you're now AT LEAST 37 days past ovulation!!!

Maybe you could set up an appointment to have your HCG levels drawn at your doctor's office. A quantitative blood test would tell you for sure!!!

my fiance left for america on the 4 December.. so the last BD would have been a couple of nights before that.. and first day of lmp was 26 November....

So sorry about the BFN :-(  But with the symptoms you described and no AF, I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet...

Is it possible that you could have ovulated later than you though?

right.. am heading off to get a hpt... wish me luck .. i will buy two.. take on now and one in the morning.. and either result.. will book a dr appt.. i cant stand the not knowing..

I am still late.. no sign of a/f.... i am having weird dreams and trouble sleeping last night.. not sure if thats a pg symptom or stress about not knowing.. lol.
the thing is.. if i test again now and its still a bfn i still wont  believe 100 % that i am NOT  pg til my period comes.. so wont be any better off then i am now.. and if i test and its a bfp... well it will still be a bfp in two weeks when my next a/f is due..where by then i will test and go to dr either way..  does that make sense?

With my pregnacies, I was 3 weeks late before my hpts finally show a positive. Some women take longer than others to see a positive. Try testing again in another week if you are still late. Good luck!

I would say test again if its been a week.  Your HCG levels may not have been high enough the first time.  If you still get bfn and don't start this next week i would ask your Dr for a blood test.

I have read some posts in here that some women get a bfn on hpt's during their entire pregnancy. The only accurate test really is blood test as urine can get diluted.
