Him would be the father sorry for the spelling
Thank u all so much . im just not happy about getting induced a week early . but I have to only becuz I have to travel 10 hours away on my due date to court for my daughter who is 3 cuz I was court ordered to give her to him and he got arrested and got her taken by Cps and and I can't chance going into labor on my way out there so I requested to be induced by my doctor
They can induce you via using vaginal pessaries to soften your cervix and then use IV meds to get your contractions going. Downside is that the contractions can be really strong, and there is a slightly higher chance you'll end up with an instrumental delivery or a caesarean. Also you'll need to have baby in hospital of course. I'd discuss the pros and cons with your doc and take it from there. Healthy baby, heathy me would be my priority (and intact perineum a bonus!) :-)
Unless you are being induced because you have a medical condition or your placenta is dying, you can refuse an induction. Being induced via IV medication raises your risk of complications and c section. It also lengthens your labor.
If I had to be induced, I would ask for a membrane sweep first and then try any other forms of non medicated induction first.
I was induced via IV with my last 3 pregnancies. The only thing about being induced that was the bad part to me was that I felt every single contraction up until I decided I couldn't take it any more, then I would ask if I can go ahead and get my epidural. Once I got my epidural, I was fine, but it did slow things down for me. So my nurses would make me change into different positions to try to make me dilate more until I can start pushing.
