Exactly. Its all based on the start date of your last period. The doctor then counts 40 weeks out from that date as an estimated time of arrival.
When the doctors give your your due date, they are giving you their best guess. Determining when a baby will be born is not going to be exact. The baby is going to come when he/she is ready. But at least your at the end and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Be patient, your baby will be here soon enough.

Just remember that your due is just an estimated date. There is a chance you may pass your due date especially if this your 1st baby. Hang in there. You're in the final stages!
