28-day cycle = ovulating?

Hi.  If I have a regular 28-day cycle, would I assume I am ovulating?  Does AF = ovulation?  Thanks !

ATL girl is right charting your temps is a really good way to know when and if you are ovulating.  If you google it, there is tons of good info on the net about it.  In a typical cycle, you would ovulate about 13-14 days before your next period.  But many people are not typical.  Best of luck to you!!

No, the fact that you have your period does not mean you are ovulating. There are so called anovulatory cycles. One way of knowing you are ovulating is to chart your body basal temperature. A temperature shift detected around the time of ovulation is the indication that an egg has been released. No observed trends on the temperature pattern mean no egg is released.
