6 weeks- spotting

Hi Everyone,

This is my first pregnancy. I am 36 years old and just 6 weeks along.

We have been trying to conceive for close to 3 years, and finally we got our bfp!

We have been overjoyed! All has been going well from what I can tell, but last night after peeing, there was a light pink discharge. It went away, but this morning, there was a light brown discharge when I wiped. That seems to have gone for now. I have no cramping. And symptoms I have had, continue...fatigue...nonstop peeing...sore boobs to the max

Everything I have read goes both ways..common in normal pregnancy. ..or signs of miscarriage.

I guess what I am seeking is reassurance that some of you ladies have experienced this and have gone on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.

First doc appointment isn't until the 29th, so needless to say, I am a bit obsessive but doing my best to enjoy the experience at the same time.

Any words of encouragement or experiences to share would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Lydia

I am just this morning finding out I am pregnant again after a miscarriage last year.  With that miscarriage there was no spotting or light discharge. I started to cramp very heavily and I immediately started bleeding heavily with large clots of tissue.  It's was very noticeable and very unmistakable.  For any slight or even decently heavy bleeding I would try not to worry too much unless you see tissue or clots.

I am also 36 , first baby and just like you my hubby and I been trying for nearly 3 years .
I experienced  with the light pink discharge  about 2 weeks ago and my doc said its okay as long as I am not bleeding or lower back pain with cramping so I will not worry to much .
What I did I rested as much as I could and had about 3 cups of chamomile  tea that day ,and it went away after 1 day or 2 .
Iam now 13 weeks , I wish you the best and enjoy your pregnancy  without  anymore  worries.

Throughout my whole pregnancy I had the brown discharge w/ red as well!  I was a nervous wreck. I had to learn to take it easy with my everyday living! No Heavy Lifting! No Heavy Housecleaning!  No Pushing Anything Heavy! Take Timeout and Rest.  Drink A LOT of WATER and NO STRESSING!  It was very hard for me!  I am very independent and to ask for help from others was well embarrassing!   I had to remind myself I am only putting the baby endanger because of my own selfishness.  On the positive side!  I am 34 weeks and the baby is healthy & strong.  Warm wishes to you for a worry free pregnancy.

Yesterday morning I had period like cramps and brown discharge, enough to fill a pad. I freaked out and called my Dr. He said nothing to worry about as long as it's not bright red and clotty. I wanted reassurance, so I went in for US the next day to hear baby's heartbeat. We're so relieved.

Same thing happened to me. The Internet is a scary place. Thanks to sites like this I was able to relax while waiting in the er for the u/s results. Yes I'm a ftm at 38 and panicked lol.  The u/s tech was straight faced at screen wouldn't even look at me of course that pushed me over the edge even more. All was and is well I  was very early then barely 6wks and in those first few weeks my fetal growth times kept changing. I was 6 wks 3 days for like 1.5 wks it's amazing how time stood still.. just relax and pray if u believe in prayer. Also my Dr told me.to avoid sex if possible cuz he knew that if God forbid anything happen if would blame that. When realistically I would know that it would most likely have just not been the right time I would still look for something and or anyone  to blame. So relax and sit back enjoy the ride u are a mother already from the day u found out that u are preggers I'm  sure u have bonded with ur bean sprout..  I will keep u in my prayers I'm 26 wks today are no I feel my Lil one moving around as I type and I still can not believe that this is happening. It's definitely a miracle.

I had some experience like you, I am 35, this is our 1st baby, I am 9 weeks now. I had the some issue in week 5, I called my Dr and they scheduled me went right away, and I did an ultrasound at week6, saw the heart beat, felt release. called your Dr and see if he can see you right away. Good luck.

I had some brown spotting at 5-7 weeks too. Had ultrasound. All good. Lasted 4-5 days and was scary. You may have mild cramps from uterus stretching. These are normal too! If you have full on pain and or foul odor from below, call MD right away.
