A little worried...

Hey everyone, I'm 13 weeks today and I've noticed some pain and was wondering if its normal.. its not really cramping.. I can't really describe it, I've been noticing it more on my left side, its on the inside of my hips, close to where the baby was found when we were looking for a heartbeat, it comes in waves, it just kinda happens and then goes away, sometimes its on the right side as well.. what is this????

yup, sounds like round ligament pain.  I had them too.  Mine were sharp shooting pains that lonly lasted 10 to 15 seconds.  They were down low and off centered.  They usually occured when I wasin the proccess of getting up or laying down.

Thanks again, they aren't constant and they aren't horrible, just enough to notice they're there..

I would think its ligaments streatching. ??? I know I experienced all the pains with my body changing and getting prepared. Im still filling the pains... just now they are in my back!!!
If they are constant and really bad I would call your OB. just to be safe. but your body is hard at work and bones and everything else is moving fast!!!
good luck to you....

Thank you for your reply! I was thinking it was probably stretching related but I thought I'd ask just to be sure.

Round ligament pain. Happens as your uterus is stretching and growing. Usually most noticeable with a first pregnancy. I remember it with my first, not so much with my 2nd and none yet with this baby. (23w4d, #3)
