I caught sight of my medical chart and the official phrase used was "fetal demise", but the doctor's office staff usually said miscarriage.

abortion is a horrible word and most health care people or insurance people will phrase it differently.  I work in the medical field and we do call them abortions.  Either missed or spontaneous.  Well, those are the natural ones.  I still hate the word, especially with 3 under my belt.  :(

Sorry for your loss, I did not take the pill but wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss and know that you are strong and will be ready again soon.  :)

I hear you.  One time when dealing with health insurance, the lady gave me some attitude.  I forget exactly what she said, but it was something snotty like "this charge is for your past two abortions."   Boy did I set the record straight.

I'm sorry for your loss, too.

I took Misoprostal to end an early m/c (ended up to be ectopic so it didn't help).  The first time I took it orally and it didn't work.  The next time I took it vaginally and it did.  I don't recall any side effects other than really heavy bleeding and bad cramps that lasted like two days or so.  I kind of think D&Cs are easier but tougher on your body I guess (I've had 6 or 7 D&Cs - so many that I seriously lose count.)

Hang in there, and good look.

Did you have a missed miscarriage? I took cytotec for my missed miscarriage. No side affects. Took about 1 1/2 weeks. My doctor started me with a low dosage first, then increased it. I'm sorry for your loss.
