Anniversary Surprise - I'm Pregnant

Hi  everyone, I am so excited this morning. I finally took an EPT after being two and half weeks late.  I am Pregnant!!!
I waited because I wanted to be alone when I took it and I wanted to kind of know before I took it.  Today while hubby is at work and Ethan napped I took it. It turned positive immediately. Kind of strange though the line that went across for the neg was like dot dot and the other was just a solid line. Either way i am pregnant. Hubby knows there is a possibility but I got a test kit with two in it, so I could take the other on our anniversary next week and give him the big surprise. Now I am on to the next phase, doctors appointments. My doctor does only two ultrasounds and it bugged the **** out of me and this other doctor does a lot of them, but has a long wait in the waiting room. Also heard the doctor was a little to direct.  Which would you chose?

I think you are right, I would love to have all the ultrasounds so I know that the baby is ok, but last night I was thinking about it as I went to bed and I woke up a dozen times and everytime I had this feelign that I should stick with my doc's.  They do know that I started dilating early and they know what meds they put me on. Thanks so much

Congratulations.  Super congrats!

I say go for the doctor that you have heard better things about.  There are much more important things in how the doctor cares for you than how many ultrasounds they do!  Really!

I like the name of your son, Ethan!  I'll put it on my list in case my baby is a boy (forgot to ask my Dr. about U/S to check the sex when I saw her yesterday - she didn't do U/'S yesterday)....

Wanted to thank everyone for comments. TOnight I have a thousand things going through my mind. We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath brick, it is 4 years old and I am thinking where am I going to put this new baby, lol.  Ethan has a the smallest room and hubby keeps his tools in the guestroom.  We have no outside building at this time. I know it will all work out, last time I was pregnant Ethans room was my computer room and I took it all down, lol I threw away so much stuff. I guess garbage bin, here i come again. lol

I agree about the ultrasounds, I really want them.  I am concerned because of some neg feedback I have heard about this doctor.  Even a friend of mine who is trying to get pregnant and aready has two has used both doctors when I asked which she was using this time it was the docs that don't do a lot of ultrasounds. Thanks for the congrats. I waited last time, just felt better to do so and I am so excited to tell my hubby but I have  a week of planning first. lol

Yipeeee!!!  Here's to one of the Queens of Patience!  Your patience paid off!!!  So happy for you!  I second what Adgal says, I would definitely choose more ultrasounds and a direct talking Dr!  Keep us posted!

Yeah...congratulations to you.  What a wonderful anniversary gift!!  I still think you are the most patient person I have met on here though...lol.  I personally would choose the Dr. that gives lots of ultrasounds.  It would be so reassuring to see baby regularly.  I also prefer "direct" as I like things straight up.  But thats my opinion.  You need to go with whomever you feel most comfortable with.  Best wishes to you for a healthy happy pregnancy, and congrats to you again!!!
