Any1 bleed at 5 weeks?

I'm 43 and is about 5wks  pregnant been spotting for 6 days now. I saw couple drop of blood, scared to death might be MC. Went to ER can't tell me anything. going to see OB today and I pray to god is not a MC. This is very surprising pregnacy since we have been try for 4 1/2 yrs. Got tubal reserval and 12 yrs ago did IVF but no luck then along came my son with help and now pregnant again, a miracle. I'm just so upset over this spotting b/c it could lead to MC. If any1 have the same problem with any advice would greatly help.

I had same problen just a few short weeks ago.  I was spotting for about 4 days before I called my doc.  She said it was probably nothing to worry about, because it wasn't red.  By the way I am 38.  I didn't have a doc appointment for another 2 weeks, so as I called her every day telling her it was not stopping, she still continued to say to not worry.  I started to cramp some, so I went to ER. They told me there that it was a possible mc because hcg levels were low. went to doc 2 days later, and it was mc. Did ER check that, or do vaginal US.  You need to call your doc and get in, or go back to ER and insist on hcg levels or vaginal US.  Good luck, and keep posted

I'm military wife and I suppsoe to have appt today and i asked for get HCG done. They canceled my appt and went for HCG test done. won't fine out till tomorrow. The waiting is drivng me crazy. I can't sleep or eat. I've been spotting for 6 days but no pain. When I went to ER I have U/S done but the couldn't detect anything b/c of just 5 wks but my HCG was 390.. Now I'm just waiting to get the result. Thank you for your responsed.

HCG level is actually pretty good for 5 wks.  Try not to worry especially if your not cramping at all.  I don't want to give you false hope, but try to be positive, because you never know what can happen.  My HCG levels never went above 120.  Best of luck, and keep me posted.

I started spotting when i turned five weeks went to theER and they did an u/s and bloodwork my hcg level was 1800 dr said she was worried because that was kind of low also they couldn't she that see much on the u/s. so i went to my dr 2 days later for follow up bloodwork to check my hcg levels. well  the doctor checked everything and found my progesterone levels to be borderline so she prescribed prometrium  for me . i continued to spot every day had a followup u/s when i was almost 7 weeks.  a strong heart beat was detected. but  i still spot on and off  so try to stay positive because i am and it is nervewrecking. im now 8 weeks 3 days.

Thank you all for your support , encouragement and responses. Is very comfortering that I'm not the only one who's going through this. I tried to think positive then again is hard not to think the negatives. I cried so much my eyes almost popped out. I'll find out tomorrow my hcg level is and I'll just pray that is climbing. What so sad is my 4 yrs son knew I was pregnant b4 I did!!!  We was laying in bed and he came out told me there is a baby in your belly, 4 days later I went to hpt test and to my surprise he was so right!!! How ironic that is!!! Is just a miracle. Thanks again!!

Nurse just called and told me my hcg level doubles from last time. Is a relieve but at the same time I'm still spotting and scare. But at least is a good news for now. I just have to pray that everything will be fine. Thank you for your supports.

I am 5 weeks pregnant.  My HCG Levels are normal and so are my progesterone levels.  However, I have had intermittent bleeding (mostly pink) for the last week and a half.  The day I found out about my HCG and Progesterone levels I bled dark red blood.  Not a lot, just about a quarter size or so.  No clots.  They put me on bed rest for the past few days-no blood until tonight.  I had mucousy (sp)
dark red blood with a bit of whitish grey mucous in it (sorry TMI)-called my doctor, he didn't feel it was anything to really worry about.  Has anyone else had this problem??

I'm going through the same thing a tthis moment..Just got a word back yesterday that my hcg is normal. I've been spotting for a week now and this morning I bled red blood couple drops. I have appt today and hopefully they can tell me something. I have been so stessed out over this. Did you have u/s and did they see anything? I pray that everything will be fine.

No ultrasound yet.  They said it is too soon.  I am supposed to hear back from my doctor today and hopefully get in to see him.  I am 37 (almost 38) so I hope they will give me an u/s today.  I have also been stressed out over this.  I have been out of work all week too because they put me on bedrest.  I wish I could just get some answers!!!  I am glad to hear that your HCG level is normal!  That is definitely a step in the right direction!  You will be in my prayers as well.

Went to dr appt today they couldn't detect anything b/c its to early. so I have another follow up for HCG testing and back to dr office next week. I'm having the same problems when I was pregnant with my son. They couldn't see him till 8, 9 wks but with this one I'm spotting and bleeding a little. I'm scare to death. Wish I  could know something. He also said is comment in some women to spot and bled. All that stressing and crying my eye balls out don't do me no good but be positive and pray everyday. Keep me posted with yours also. We all just have to think POSITIVE.

I just got my bloodwork back and my HCG level has gone up, but it did not double.  I had a blood test on Monday and my HCG level was 2900  and progesterone was 44.  Today-I had bloodwork and my HCG level was 4658.  It should be 5800 by now.  They want me to go in again next week for blood work to check again.  I am not optimistic though.  I think it didn't double because whatever I passed was probably fetal tissue.  I am pretty frustrated right now.  I am all cried out so now I just feel anger.  Sorry, I wish I had better news.  Hopefully things will go better for you!!

At least it didn't going down but up.I feel for you as I'm going through the same thing. Is this your 2 hcg? I'm going for my 3 next week. Dr said he's optimistic but this spotting and of and on bleeding. I'm not sure either. We have to have faith and see from there. You're so right it is FRUSTRATING and STRESSFUL. I'm just all tears out. I can't eat or sleep. Just want to KNOW whats going on. Hang in and don't give up hope yet. I haven't yet. I have to wait till Thurs. to see what the out come is. ALL I have been doing is WAIT and WAIT.
