Anyone else?

I am 30 weeks pregnant but my baby is still not very active. It makes me worry when I don't feel him move for long periods of time. I asked my doctor if I should be doing kick counts but he said not for a while. Is anyone else experiencing this? What have you been told? When should I start doing kick counts? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Everyone's different. Every doctor is different. If YOU feel something is wrong than call. If not try a couple sips of either sugary or caffeine that normally gets them moving a whole lot. Not comfortable with that than call l&d. Its your baby do what you feel.

I'm 37wks and the baby isn't as active as I wish he were. But I was told by the Dr a couple months ago, I have a posterior placenta, which blocks a lot of his movements. They did an ultrasound one day on me, and we were watching him move, but I didn't feel it as it was happening. My Dr still isn't too concerned since this has been him the whole time. I do feel movements and hiccups throughout the day, so I am reassured he's ok in there. If you Dr doesn't show concern, I wouldn't worry too much as that puts more stress on yourself and baby. I downloaded an app for kick counts ("Kick Me") and show my Dr at each appointment. Let them be the judge of the amount of activity you're getting out of your little one. Good luck :)

Yeah my baby is the same it's only now at 33 weeks I'm feeling movements more often!! At 30 weeks I was only feeling wriggles when I'd eat and then relax on the lounge. My doctor is not worried at all, everyone feel their baby differently!

You should be doing kick counts at 28 weeks. Call your labor & deliver dept, they can advise you what to do or if you should go in. Ive been through the same thing but ive always been able to get 10 movements in 10 min when he does start moving around. Your doctor sounds like the one who is laid back

If ur baby isnt very active by now and ur doctor is not worried then maybe ur gonna have a layed back baby. Its when there less active then normal. But maybe for ur baby thats the norm if u dont feel any movement then maybe start to wonder. Or maybe the position of the baby has something to do w it.
