Thanks, everyone....that makes me feel better! (udbe2, I was thinking the same thing...that maybe I was just making excuses to eat! LOL)
I had a friend who was like that and everyone thought that she was just using it as an excuse to eat more.
I gained 55 lbs because I had to eat to stop the nausea. Almonds, crackers and Nestle Quick cereal were my favourites! I preferred this to my other pregnancy where I couldn't eat for 5 months and LOST 12 lbs. Five months of vomiting was not fun.
Actually, I have read that keeping something in your stomache all the time is the best way to stop the nausea. I find I am most nauseus when I am hungry. The last thing you want to do is eat, but forcing yourself to seems to help a lot. And for me, it's about an hour after eating that it comes back. I think this is pretty common.
I had that for a couple of weeks (weeks 9 to 11 I think it was).
