Anyone had healthy baby after ectopic pregnancy?

I found out that i was pregnant a week ago and ever since I have had a nagging feeling that something was wrong. The doctor confirmed my pregnancy and said the HCG levels were a little low so they wanted me to keep coming back for blood work to check how the levels were rising.  Today I went back for the blood work but insisted that they do an ultra sound.. they said it was early and nothing would be seen but I insisted,  guess a woman just knows her own body because sure enough the ultra sound showed the baby in my right fallopian tube :(  I have waited so long for this baby, have had treatment to boost my chances and now feel like I have just been smacked in the face.  Tomorrow I have to go back so they can give me an injection to allow my body to absorb the fetus.  Anyone else had any similar experiences?  Anyone go on to have a normal healthy pregnancy and baby?  Thanks

How did everything go? I am currently experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. My OB has suggested a "wait and see' approach monitoring my HCG a couple of times a week.
This is my 3rd pregnancy with 1 successful (beautiful 3 year old boy), one missed miscarriage at 12 weeks on 30th June 2010, now i am 7 weeks into ectopic. I really can't find much informaiton about how long until my HCG shold get to 0. Wether wait and see will work>? and how long until I can TTC again.

Can anyone help?

Please...

Hi..I'm sorry but thank god that it didn't lead to greater complications. It would'v been severe and too much to cope up if it was left undiagnosed. Your tube could even break and ur life can b in danger if undiagnosed. Anyway, I assure u that u can have a healthy baby later. My aunt once had a tubal pregnancy but my cousin was born to her after all that fuss and he's an amazing 19 yr old...Dont worry ..Keep up..u'll be in my prayers

I had a ectopic in 2007, the doctors did not diagnose me in time, so my tube ruptured and not only did they operate on me twice i has 2 blood transfusions and  lost my tubes. I am happy to say at the age of 43 i was just tested positive (blood work) after IVF.I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!So i would say after this etopic pregnancy i don't see why you can not go on to have a healthy pregnancy. I wish you the best.
