Well I was hoping it would turn out differently (((hug)))
AF arrived yesterday afternoon...so onward we go!
Amanda - stay stubborn and have strength!! I know you do and you WILL get there!! :)
Christine - thanks for your thoughts and comments...chemical for sure. But that's okay. moving on to bigger and better things
I'm sorry. It does sound like a chemical.
I am with you...I far prefer a chemical to miscarrying later on. It is so great you are conceiving though, and you will get a sticky one!! My RE told me the same thing. Conceiving is the hard part. If we can keep doing that and have the strength to keep going, we will usually get there! ((hugs))
So he isn't going to do another draw in 48 hours? The hCG chart I have in my Favorites shows a "normal" range for 4 weeks gestation is 5 - 426 mIU/ml...
Thank you, as always for your feedback! Well, I did get my results and HCG is 6, so he thought I should start AF within the week.
of course I am not happy, but much happier that it ended this way rather than progressing to 6 weeks or something. I do feel crampy now, so hopefully things are on the way.
I asked about getting the FSH test done and he said that my ability to conceive even when it doesn't result in a successfull pregnancy, is a much better indicator that things are good.
So...onward we go.
thanks again everyone for your thoughts!!
Not necessarily. Tests are qualatative, not quantative. You can have two tests from the same box taken at exactly the same time where one line will be darker. It can also depend on how concentrated your urine is, etc. So many factors. Different brands will also often be very different.
I have had 4 chemicals and usually I am at least spotting within a day or two of getting my positive.
The unknown is the absolute worse. Yes, it can go either way, but having a lighter line doesn't necessarily mean anything. Please update us when you get your results. I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way.
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
I have a feeling my happy news may be very short-lived. I had a nice positive on Sunday and decided to re-test this morning. Line was much, much lighter. I have never had a chemical, but I'm thinking this may be it?
I went ahead and had blood drawn this morning at the RE's office, so I should hear back today. Then more blood drawn in 48 hours. Trying to stay positive, but preparing the best I can.
isn't this what a chemical would start to look like?
Yep, deep breathes. That is really all we can do. Just remember...lots have losses then have healthy babies. You are pregnant again and that is so great! I so know how you feel though...I always say I wish they could knock me out and wake me when I am safely into second trimester. But stay positive and take it one day at a time. We are here holding your hand.
Good luck!!! I'll keep you in my prayers :)
Hugs to you Amanda!! Thank you. :)
I'm going in for base-line bloodwork tomorrow and then if things look good an initial U/S a week or so later. First appt is scheduled with my OBGYN later in July.
lots of deep breaths. :)
