Baby music...?? heart doppler..?

1.)Does anyone know when you listen to music when the babys ears are actually developped enough to hear..? I wanted to start listening to relaxing musical music to if any way create a nice little relaxing place for the baby..in my belly...and also reading..I was told that if you read to your baby or your husband...when it comes time around to when you can feel them kick...that when the baby hears your voice or your husbands (because it recognized it) that it moves about and kicks...(meaning that they recognize their parents voice..) sound silly..??

2.) I have a Dr appt tomorrow and I will be 13 wks on Thurs...and I went last week (11wks) to have a check up and wanted to hear the heartbeat to calm my nerves...but no luck..I am headed back this week and will be 3 days shy of 13 wks..and am really hoping that I will hear a heartbeat...otherwise I may just panic myself...Whats the chances...I am worried..and getting myself worked up before I have even went to the Appt yet (which is tomorrow)...Like I am preparing myself for the worst...I cant help it...as I have had a miscarriage in the past...and my last u/s was at 10.5 wks...which means..I wasnt out of the 1st tri..so there still could have been time for something to go wrong from 10.5 week u/s till now...

Sorry, wanted to add....a healthy u/s at 10 weeks is a great sign that your pregnancy will continue.  It is almost as much a milestone as the end of first trimester.  I am sure all is fine!

I read they can hear around the 20 week mark.  Try not to worry too much about not hearing anything on the doppler yet.  That little bean is still very tiny and can be tough to find even for a very experienced Dr.  I am sure you will hear it the next app.  Good luck to you!

1. baby can hear around 23 weeks... you feel baby move around 16 - 20...

2. did your doctor listen the heartbeat through sonogram or doppler..  if he listened through doppler, then it's mght be too early...

I was listen to my baby heartbeat around 11 weeks with sonogram..not doppler...

good luck
