Blood work and ultrasound for infertility today.

by traceynjar, Sep 08, 2009 10:22PM
Hi you guys.  I had FSH and TSH levels drawn at the doctors office today.
They also did a vaginal ultrasound to make sure that everything looks okay.
I've had a super painful cycle this month, more that any other I've ever had.
Doc thinks it could have been a ruptured ovarian cyst, although I have no history of these.
Just wondering what experience you guys have with FSH and TSH levels at age 38.
I've done research on what they should be, what have you guys seen for women my age.
Also, how long does it take to get the results back.

Hiya,

Everyone is so different but at age 39 on cd21 test my fsh was 5.4, tsh was 1.3 and lh was 4.9

my estradiol was high (in my opinion) the test was done September / October 08 I think we started "trying" november 08 (dtd when I figured I was o'ing), in Jan 09 used ovulation strips and pre-seed (I'm pretty sure my mucous isn't the fertile friendly kind) dtd on the first positive day for the strips and we got pregnant, so three or four months for me.

I do have a large fibroid, i do (since 27) have high bp, i am overweight and am insulin resistant

good luck with trying,
Joanne
