Clomid for the 1st time.. Plz help w/?...

Hey ladies. Having trouble conceiving because I dont ovulate much. My DR. started me on Clomid and Im alittle scared to start. I wont start til next time AF comes to town which will be next month so she said start it then. This will be my first cycle ever and I wanted to know from those who have been or are on Clomid what to expect. Also, did any of you get pregnant first cycle? Thank for the feedback in advance...

Our RE only had us taking the Clomid for five days each cycle - the first cycle I did experience some headaches - nothing some Tylenol didn't work for tho - second cycle - no major side effects - we also did an IUI each cycle and we were able to get pregnant both times - its was a great experience but we had a wonderful doctor as well - don't be scared of starting the meds - if your only issue is ovulation you may have great results with Clomid - go into it with the expectation that it might take a couple of cycles to work and just enjoy the fact that you are working towards making a dream come true - good luck

Thanks so much for the comforting words. Same with me only 5 days of Clomid a cycle. I hope that it does make me ovulate. My DR said 5days on Clomid them 5 days after BD for 5 to 7 days does that sound just about right? Again, thanks for the feedback.

I was on clomid and got BFP on my 1st cycle....I never really had any side effects with it.  I LOVE IT  and plan to use it from day 1 when we try for #2.  good luck and SSBD

I just finished my first round of clomid and the only side effect I had was some pains in my lower abdomen, which I hope it means I was ovulating. Other than that I did fine through it, will find out next week if it worked, don't be scared just go for it!

Thank you so much for all the positive feedback. I think I just ovulated because of some C/M it was very stringy so I did the BD for about 2 days and might have to BD tonight... hehehe Anyway does that stringy thing mean I did ovulate?
