Dilated to 1 and baby measuring 2.5 weeks ahead!

holy cow, I go  to my normal dr visit and I am 34.4 wks baby is measuring 37 weeks! I dont have GD so they have scheduled me for a U/S next thursday. My contractions are starting to come very frequent and starting to hurt, so they checked me and I am dilated to 1 but cerix is still high and thick. My 9 year old broke his arm on wednesday , so I think all that stress has caused these BH to kick in even more...

Any one else meauring biggger by that much too? I know they can have growth spurts but good god, I cant deliver a 7 lb baby! without complications.. I am starting to worry he is gonna be way tooo big for me!

Are any of your getting nervous now that delivery is getting so close??? I am so anxious to be done and have my lil g uy here, but also getting nervous of the impending labor! =(

At my 35 week u/s my baby was measuring 7lbs 6oz!  I thought that was kind of big and the doctor reassured me that it's very possible for the baby to be smaller considering the head measurment was larger because of the way the baby is sitting.  I'm measuring about at week ahead, going by the height of my uterus.  I'm nervous because even if she is 6lbs, gaining a 1/2 pound per week will put her at 9 something if I go to 40 weeks.  As far as I know, I have not dilated at all.  I get checked Thurs but I haven't lost my mucous plug or anything so I don't know if anything is going on down there.  I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow.  She sure does feel heavy.  Don't worry, you're not alone.  It seems like many of us are carrying big ones these days!  =)

At my last ultrasound (Wed) he was measuring 6 lb 11 oz, but they could not get his head measured accurately because he is so low in my pelvis, so I suspect he may be bigger.  I am 36w1d, and 2 to 3 cent. dilated. I also have been having bh regularly.  I timed them last night for about 2 1/2 hours, and they would come 5, 6, 3 then 10 to 15, then back to 5 minutes apart, so aggravating, then they just stopped.  The only thing I can find positive is that they are preparing me for labor, and when he decides to come, maybe the process will go a little faster, haha. I am already having them again this morning, so it should make for an interesting day!!

What measurement are they going by? If it is the height of your belly, it is common for it to measure a little under or over.

You are so close now.  When my water broke I was 1cm and 36wk6d.

I had an epidural and the labor was a breeze.. but the delivery was another story all together.  That took 2 hours of pushing but I think they started me pushing sooner than they should of becasue the shift was gonna end.

Good luck. I'm excited for you. I still remember when you got your BFP!!
