Gallbladder attacks in pregnancy

I've been having gallbladder attacks since 13 weeks pregnant. I am now 33 almost 34 and still having them. I've been hospitalize a few times and diagnosed with gallstones. If I continue to have attacks will they plan a c section and remove the gallbladder or will i have to wait until im over 35 weeks or until the baby is delivered?

I don't know. It would probably depend on the Dr. They try not to deliver babies before 37 weeks though.

I think they will wait until after your baby is born. I had one gallbladder attack early on in this pregnancy. Thankfully it hasn't happened again. I read a lot about it at the time. Apparently they will sometimes remove the gallbladder during the second trimester because the baby is still low in your belly but at less risk for miscarriage. Otherwise, I believe they will do after the baby is born. At 35 weeks, your uterus is too close to the gallbladder.
