Glucose Test

Hi Ladies. I'm 37yrs old FTM. I'm having glucose testing early (@ 12 wks) as diabetes runs in my family. Any advise on breakfast items that are okay to eat the day of, or should I just fast???

I had one at almost 13 weeks, it doesnt run in the family im just overweight,  told me nothing four hours prior to the test and nothing sugary or high carbs the morning of. Did it again today 24+6 same rules. What to eat that morning woild depend on when your test is. I had mine at 1:30 today and just had water because I didnt have an appetite but at my first one I had a belvida breakfast biscuit around 8 and my appointment was at 2. If your appointment is early I would wait though

I would really call your nurse or lab. I had to fast for both my glucose tests and most research I did said that if you don't fast it could throw off your test scores. It is a sucky test, but a very important one. Good luck!

Ask the lab. Ours doesn't make you fast at all. If not fasting, have your normal breakie
