having an early u/s will tell you approx how far along you are, how many are there, if the sacks are normal shape etc,  the 7wk one will give you a little more info, they're both just as good as each other, but obviously if you get to see the heartbeat/s at the 7 wk one then thats extra special :)

Perhaps ur right...I just come to tears when think of how far I've gotten...I really feel blessed...my lil' bean or beans...how cute...I love them already!...hopefully things will work out...I saw some ivf mom's to be have their eco done even at 18pt...is that right??...or is it better to wait for the heartbeat at 7 weeks??

Please don't worry if it isn't at 2200.  As those hcg levels get higher, the doubling time slows down.  Over 1200 the the doubling time does get longer.  Eventually those numbers will actually stop rising and even fall a little bit (usually around 7 or 8 weeks).

I know you are worrying.  If I may, I would love to give you a bit of advice on that.  I used to absolutely obsess over those hcg levels.  I actually began diagnosing my own miscarriages (I have had several) based on them.  With my son I did that.  Based on the doubling time I was completely convinced this was a loss - he is now 2 years old.  I drove myself crazy!

Let your Dr. do the diagnosing (and I am saying that out of caring, not in a mean or nasty way).  And remember that hcg levels are only one tool used in determining if a pregnancy is viable.  Very soon you will be able to have an ultrasound and that is the best diagnostic tool they have.  Hang in there honey, and know that as long as those numbers aren't dropping, at this point things are looking good!

(((hugs))

You'd be looking for 2200 tomorrow (or slightly lower, since it can take up to 3 days to double). Best of luck!

Thankyouuuuuuuuuu Adgal!!!...it's just been a rollercoaster ride that hasn't stopped...and I am never relaxed because there is always something...do u know if my numbers tomorrow should be 2200...or the original 3000(if it was supposed to be 1500)...????

Drs actually look for beta's to double every 48 to 72 hours.  Yours came very close to doubling in 48 hours, and as buggie said are rising nicely.  So far things look just fine.  I know this is super stressful and worrisome.  Try really hard not to focus on the numbers - trust me when I say your Dr. will let you know if there is cause for concern.  Congrats on your pregnancy and all the best to you.
