HPV prevents pregnancy?

Did anyone ever hear that HPV related laser tx and colposcopy biopsies make it more difficult to conceive or lessens the chance of pregnancy?  Has anyone had this treatment done and conceived?

I had 2 colposcopy followed by 2 cone biopsy (2002 and 2006). For some reasons my immune system can't fight the HPV. Usually doesn't come back but I have a very low immune system.
Anyway after the second surgery I was able to get pregnant with my first child right away, the only think my doctor suggested was a cerclage at 14 weeks to prevent miscarriage just because my cervix is weak due to the two surgeries. Now I'm pregnant with my second child and I will have again the cerclage at about 14 weeks.

I'm colposcopy won't affect your fertility or ability to get pregnant.
May be the cone biopsy, if your doctor cut too much or if you have several procedures,  can increase your chance of mc in the second trimester, which you can prevent with a cervix cerclage or in very severe case with an abdominal cerclage.

I recently asked my doctor about this, because I had some abnormal cells removed with cryotherapy (which is freezing instead of lazers) about 14 years ago and I was concerned it could hurt my chances of concieving. My doctor said absolutely not. She said none of the procedures done for hpv will effect fertility.

Im so sorry and didn't mean to scare anyone. This has been on my mind since I was told last year, but was always too afraid to put it out there and ask, as you know people can be very judgemental. This time, I said to myself, "Im going to ask you ladies!"  Please, please do share what your RE tells you.  I would really like to know.  Its always nice to hear a second opinion.  I have another annual exam coming up in February.  Its with a new doc that just came into the practice.  I will be sure to ask her as well.  Hopefully we will hear something on a more positive note.  Thanks for your response.

I have an appointment with an RE on March 11th, and i will for sure be asking her.  This was my first (and hopefully my last) laser procedure.  It was on the vulva, not the cervix, and I was stage 3. Not sure if that makes any difference or not, but obviously I am now very concerned as well.   I was told this would not have any impact whatsoever.   I'll let you know for sure what the RE says.

I was told by my obgyn.  We discussed the possibilities of miscarriage, and of course, I asked about the HPV.  My doctor informed me that the HPV itself does not prevent pregnancy and said millions of women with the virus get pregnant.  But, she also informed me that IF I were to ever require more than a couple of laser treatments or colposcopies, it would definately affect my chances of pregnancy.  I had a colposcopy done many years ago, but wasn't told that I had HPV until last year.  As soon as I heard I had it, I was concerned.  I am actually really worried now.  Don't know how accurate this info is, but when you hear this from your doc, you become concerned.  My family doctor, however, tells me not to let it worry me unless my cells greater than stage II.

I actually just had laser surgery for HPV related VIN 3 last thursday.  I discussed this in advance, and was told there is absolutely no truth to it whatsoever.  Being that I have HPV, I have also had numerous discussions with more then 1 doctor as to whether or not this could be the reason for my numerous losses and have been assured there is absolutely no relation there.  As soon as I heal we will be trying to conceive again...have an appointment with an RE March 11.  Where did you hear this?

I did have a colposcopy about 12 years ago. I don't believe it has anything to do with conceiving. I have had 2 m/c 3 children and pregnant with my 4th.
