Has anyone ever conceived after having adhesions removed?

I have been ttc for 3 years with no joy and now been told IVF is my main option though conceiving on my own is not totally impossible.  I was told my right tube was twisted which is now fine but both my right and left tubes had adhesions which were taken away.  My consultant told me the adhesions won't grow back.

Has anyone else had this before and conceived?  how long did it take you?  i had the laparoscopy at the end of April what do you all think?

Your consultant probably told you that the same adhesions won't grow back.  However, any operation (including operations to remove adhesions) can cause scar tissue and the scar tissue can cause new adhesions.  I had three or four surgeries years ago to remove adhesions with the goal of getting pregnant, and it didn't happen.  I did finally get pregnant via IVF.  Your best chance after lysis of adhesions is in the time-frame closest to the surgery, before any new scar tissue will have a chance to form.
