Heart beat

hey girls! TGIF!!!! =)

I was just wondering if any of you have heard of the little doppler-like thing that they sell in maternity stores that you put on your belly with headphones and you're supposed to hear your baby's h/b (it says starting 12 weeks)?? and how good is it?? it's only like 30 bucks for it..... or should i rent a medical doppler??

I am DYING of concearn...... =( i haven't felt like my belly is getting bigger, (of course can't fit in pants.... but im still worried....) and just feel like something bad has happened and i just don't know it yet....

=(

Hey V girl - I'm so glad that you had a party!  It sounded like tons of fun!  Guess what I did - I babysat a 12 month old for a young friend from out of town who ended up spending the night at our house cuz she didn't get home until 4 a.m.  Man, I was a little surprised  but the baby's really cute so it gave me a chance to see what it would be like to have a toddler in the house.  i realize our house is not in any way, shape or form babyproofed :-0.

Anyway, good luck at your appt tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you!  And I'm sorry about the 'naughty-naughty' - what a hilarious way of putting it - no pun intended - lol :-))))))))))).

Hey girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =))

kelly, steph, guinness and jen- girls!!! you always crack the hell out of me! lol!!! you big dummy! (kelly) that's something I would do for SURE! HAHA! man! i am about to go mad one of these days I swear. I was thinking the other day... the moment that 'baby bug' bit me in the a$$ I was destined to be a worry wart for the REST of my life.... first, worry about not getting pregnant (after my m/c), then worry about the treatment, then worry about the surgery, then worry about surgery NOT working, then got BFP...worried about spotting, then worry about numbers rising properly, then worried about seeing a h/b, then worried about being too slow...., then worry about seeing a baby growing!,..... now, worried about baby...still there!!! =(
My 12 week mark is today, and that's exactly around when I found I had a missed miscarriage the last time.....=( didn't have a sign, didn't have spotting..., nothing. Everything seemed so normal...and then bam!!!!!!!! gone!
I am with you Stephie! I am addicted to my underwear I swear! lol....i do exactly the same! check my undies EVERY time i go potty, and oh yeah! the red undies are stuffed all the way in the back of my drawer! i don't even touch them! lol
See, i don't know if this doppler would work for me either, i mean it's only thirty some bucks....you'd think the cheaper the worse right? but i can't afford something better right now!...and yes I would like to do what Tomkat did! man....must be nice!
Jenny! thank you for your research girl! I will do that!
I am doing much better I think..., i stopped the 'mighty bullets' and feel so good! =) no spotting thank goodness, no bad signs..., and I actually get hungry again!!!! yay!!!! it's been so loooong...
At the same time that feels good to hit the 12 week mark....i am a nervous wreck! lol...i have a doc's apptm. tomorrow, but it's just to fill out paperwork since i had switched doctors.
Man! i forgot to say: (sorry....a little TMI)... dh and I had naughty naughty the other day...and boy!!!!!! IT HURT!!!...like, burn hurt....! (i don't think i was that ready...if you know what i mean) and ever since i've been burning a little and having some sort of itchiness down there... =( i will tell them tomorrow, but im a little.....YEP, you guessed it!

CONCEARNED!!! lol

=)

anyway, how are my girls doing???? we had a party yesterday, and boy! i'll tell you what! i haven't seen this house so nice and clean since we moved in last year! lol.....i had my best friends coming and we had a blast!
I had so much food I ended up freezing a lot of it (some people didn't show up....=/ ) but it's good since i won't have to cook for a while! =))

How was your weekend??

hey vanessa - girl, I did a little research & typed fetal doppler in the medhelp search thing & about 72 results came up mainly from the maternal/child forum.  I did that in hopes of finding a post that I saw about this very thing a couple of days ago (of course I didn't - lol!).  Some of those old posts seem to answer the questions that you're asking - it wouldn't hurt, anyway.

How are ya doing?  Girl, we're starting a new chapter of National Worriers, Anon.  I'm a charter member!   You hang in there :-)))  it feels good to be at the 12 week mark, huh?!  - jen

HA HA HA, FUNNY you should ask.  I was reading on the net today that you MAY hear it at 9 weeks. I scurried out to the garage because I know I threw my doppler on a shelf after cleaning my car one day. (siser had borrowed it) No luck for me yet. I'm about dying over here too! I had major exhaustion, a couple good stomache aches but that's it! I got mine from healthchecksystems . com   It was only  $115 and it included shipping. I listened to it all the time. I'm hoping by next week I can hear it as my appt. is still 3 weeks away. You for sure would hear yours. Just be careful though...I got a VERY slow heartbeat one time and almost booked it to the ER. Thank goodness I hopped on the computer and read I was listening to my own HB, (DINGY) Let me know what you decide, it's amazing to hear :)
