Heartburn

by Brown Eyed Gurl, Dec 12, 2007 09:22AM
Hi so I know I'm not 35+ but I know alot of you here and wanted your advice.....

Ok so I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or not but just in case I don't want to take anything to harm my baby.  I'm 10 DPO and feeling very pregnant just like both times I've been pregnant before.  But I've got killer heartburn and normally I just swig some pepto and am fine but in case I'm pregnant I don't want to do that so what can you take to help when you are preg.?

Tums always gives me instant relief from heartburn and the extra calcium is actually good for a developing fetus.
I hope you get your bfp!

Thanks I got some rolaides but will try tums next time.   It's terrible and when I don't feel the heartburn I feel like my food is trying to come up and it's stuck in my throat......not always accompanied with nausea......guessing it could be acid refulx

by poupoune26, Dec 12, 2007 02:27PM
Hey Brandi! Hang in there..I know how you feel!  I take tums, it's safe for pregnant women. And don't worry if you had a bfn, 10 dpo is early.  I just know it's your month!

by Brown Eyed Gurl, Dec 12, 2007 02:34PM
Thanks Mel I really hope this is it.

I take tums too and heartburn has been the one constant this whole pregnancy.  My OB was very happy about the tums because it has the calcium you need as well.  I don't think they work super great but they do give me some relief if I take them right before bed.
Best of luck for a BFP!!
