I'm glad it turned out to be nothing. Funny becuase my friend's son gets them. She was told he had low testosterone. I'm glad she's ok.
Haha, funny! Besides being worried about the lump I did have to stop and think about that. She will be getting lumps soon, lol. A friend of mine also said it might mean she is going to be busty, lol! I think I have heard it all:~)
BTW- im not breast feeding, another reason for the concern on how she is getting the hormone, IDK:~(
Thanks guys! The doctor today said the same thing. Hormones.I just question it becuase it just suddenly appeared at 6 month, but hey what do I know. They will be keeping an eye on it at her 6 month and 12 month check up.
hey blue! TJ had that for a long time his first year. it's just hormones, that's all. I asked my dr about it and that's what they said!
Yes, I believe it is hormones. A little different story, but my younger brother got the same thing when he hit puberty, Boy was he freaking out. After a few months his hormone levels straightened out and his lady lumps went away.
Don't freak out, sweetie...it's hormones. It's very common in female infants - especially if you are breastfeeding. My daughter had them. Not a big deal...although I know ANYTHING out of the ordinary freaks us all out. So take a deep breath and relax...there are no problems. And she will get them again pre-puberty. :-)
Tricia
my daughter had that too I think it was from hormones, it went away on its own
I don't have much to offer here except support. Tabitha, I am sure it's fine...Ryder has a hard lump under his belly button that scared me, but Dr. said it's a hernia and lots of babies get them. It will go away and nothing to worry about. It's probably just something like that. Tomorrow will put your mind at ease I have no doubt. And of course you should post this here. You know you have lots of prayers and good wishes. Love ya girl, and I know sweet little Taylor will be just fine!! XOXO
I'm by far no expert, but I seemed to remember hearing something about milk glands or something in newborns. I found a site with a bit of info...not sure how accurate...but may give you some thoughts that may put your mind at ease. I also wasn't sure how old your little one is....but...
