I voted for Garrett. I think it's a great name...in fact, I may steal it! I don't know any Garrett's though, so probably not that commonCommon cold in California.
Rebecka - why didn't you say so?? I want to help!!! Personally I like some old names that were popular in the '80's like Alexis or Megan but my kids hate them so I dunno. Wade watched this fantasy movie recently and likes the lead girl's name called "Lyra" (pronouced lie-ra). It's pretty but unusual. Are you wanting a name beginning w/an "a" to go w/abby? There's always Amanda, Allison, Amy - it depends on which way you want to go - do you want to go w/most popular or time-honored? Like you, i always think about how it's going to sound as the child gets older/grown. I used to like the name "Lacey" but changed my mind when I thought about a grown woman called that. No offense to the Laceys in the world!
There's also Rachel - I love that name that's an older name but popular in the '90's. Sara's also nice - I'm starting to sound Biblical what w/naming my own kids Rebecca and Noah. I love Emily and Emma but again very popular. Madison & Madelyn- super popular but pretty. Sydney's also pretty and so is Stephanie and Samantha. You know I'm partial to Leslie. One more name - Carolyn or Caroline - that name sticks out for me. How about Kathryn? Also melany?
Ok Jenn - let's do the run down - I like old fashioned classic names - Allison is actually in consideration - funny you mentioned it - I wanted to use Kathryn with Abby and hubby vetoed - I love Emma - hubby vetoed - My latest suggestion was Grace Elizabeth - so of course hubby this morning says - how about Elizabeth Grace and then is ticked because I said Grace Elizabeth - MEN - my mom's suggestion is I carry the baby - I name the baby - preferably filling out the birth certificate when he isn't in the room - lol - guess she's Frank for a while longer
Nathan is my front runner also.. DH really loves loves loves Gehrig and I kinda like it to, but I can't get past the idea that there is a disease named after it.. I'm okay with Nathan Gehrig tho and I think DH might be okay with that too... i think it will also be good because jacob's middle name is Nolan, so then they would both have baseball middle names. I'm not a big baseball fan but DH is..
Rebecka - you know I super, duper love Allison - just change it to Allyson and well, you have an Ally!!! My Ally's an Allyson - I never wanted her to be called Ally but that's what happened over time. Anyway, her name's Allyson Denise and I totally agree w/your mom - you carry her, you name her!!!
I love the name Ava but OMG it's so popular. I personally blame Reese Witherspoon - LOL. I love both Grace and Elizabeth - I love Grace Elizabeth better though than the other way around. My best friend in 7th grade was named Gracie - she was a sweetie even though I liked calling her Grace better.
I really like Grace Elizabeth - and Allison (Ally) - I'm sure if we use Grace Elizabeth - she'll be Gracie - lol - oh well - two months to go - nothing is done and for now she remains "Frank"
I picked Quinn. I know a lot of Nathan's and Garrett's. I don't recall any Quinn's. I like the sound of it. Any thoughts on middle names? hee hee
Now will you suggest some names for us please!!!! I am tired of calling our daughter Frank because we can't come up with anything !!! lol
