Agree w/ everything lovecake98 suggested. Benadryl is supposed to be safe as well bit has the same active ingredient. I suffer from severe insomnia. It was affecting my work ability, home life, ability to mother my 4 year old - it was terrible! My OB prescribed 10 days of Ambient to hopefully "throw my system back into routine". Took my last dose last night. There were a couple nights that even after taking the Ambient, I would still be wide awake but for the most part it helped me sleep. We'll sew if it worked to put my body back into a sleep habit. Iam 15 weeks now. Also, found helpful is an Insomnia app I downloaded & listen to at bedtime. I had to listen to it a few times before I found it helpful but it definitely helps. My husband bought me a pregnancy pulkow which helps w/ comfort but when your insomnia is so extreme like mine, all those tips like a warm bath and hot milk do absolutely nothing. I also have an autoimmune disorder which is under control but I still feel strongly it affects my ability to sleep. Best of luck to you. Let us know if you find something that works!

Ask doc.  Unisom is on my safe list.  Warm milk at bedtime, quit all screen time after 8 pm,quit caffeine,  read a book, take a bath.  Those are all typical insomnia tips. Sometimes I have a hard time falling back asleep after I get up to pee in the middle of the night.  I just figure I'm practicing for baby feelings every 2 hours in a few weeks!  Remember it's temporary.
