I have Lumber L 4/5 disc disorder, and I am 6 month pregnant

I Am 38 yrs old, I have Lumber disc disorder, and I am 6 month pregnant(1st pregnancy). Now I have pain in my back, left hip joint and left leg. And also feel numbness in left shoulder. And have pain in both hand and fingers and feel that finger joints are lose. Can you help me what should I do for release these problem during pregnancy

Hi Alia. I am 39 years old and 14 weeks pregnant with my first child. I have had 2 surgeries on my L4 & L5 in the past 4 years. I am experiencing very similar discomfort as you. For my leg, i am under the care of a vascular doctor. I get my test results today. I am most likely going to gave to wear compression stockings for the duration of my pregnancy. I will let you know how it works out if you like.
As for the numbness and pain in my shoulders and hands, i have yet to discuss this with my OB. I wake up almost every night in agony.
I can offer one thing for relief...i try to get a massage at least once a month. I did this before i got pregnant too. It helped greatly. Financially it is a burden but so is the pain.
I will be looking into a water birth because I really do not think my back is up to the challenge. Please keep me posted on any remedies you may find. Thank you.

I wish I could be of help here.  I just don't know anything about lumbar disc disorder.  I would however make sure that your OB is fully aware of the pain and discomfort you are experiencing.  Perhaps a good pre natal massage or something like that?  Speak to your Dr. - there may very well be things you can do for relief.  Sorry your uncomfortable, I hope they can help you.

Leehalen thank you so much, I will try for massage but guide me which type of massage you r taking. and my OB she not tell me anything :-(  just said to me go to the neurosurgeon. But I don’t want to take any medicine for relief the pain.( bcuz of my baby) And I don't now about water birth, is this less pain?
