I have to have surgery!!!!! OMG

So, as many of you know having babies do wonderful things to your body!!!! Well, I have to have abdominal surgery due to my muscles ripping. I have this huge egg like thing sticking out it is soooooooo gross!!!!!

It is by no means life threatening and it can even wait until after I am 100 percent certain I am finished having children. But it hurts sometimes and it is so gross to look at!

I noticed it after I started losing weight. After losing my baby weight I became on a mission to lose more!!!! I bought a treadmill and dropped like 12 lb in a month! That is when I noticed the "egg"! All I want to do is be thin! I am 5'2, 121 pounds and still look preggo because of this egg in my stomach, I can't take it anymore!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the GP and now I will be off to the surgeon. Oh, wow why do weird things always happen to me!

Sorry just needed to vent!

Rachel

I'm so sorry to hear that you may need surgery.  You will do just fine.  I haven't been on in a while.  I had to have my gallbladder removed 3 months after Gavin was born, I was in the hospital for 5 days prior to having the surgery, when back to work for a week and than out for a week, I couldn't lift Gavin for 2 weeks.

Thinking of you!

My husband just had surgery for an umbilical hernia. It was a pretty easy surgery, his only took 20 min! It was a small one though. the recovery time is a killer though. 6 weeks of not lifting ANYTHING over 15lbs. You don't realize how hard that is until you have to do it!
Good luck when you do decide to do it!

rdh1981:  Hopefully the belt thing will help you.  I wouldn't want to have surgery unless it was absolutely necessary.  Good luck!!

blueeyedtabbycat:  imagine what SIX is doing to my body LOL.  I gave up hope of having a "body" a long time ago lol

Yup, thats how I got my umbilical hernia. It didnt hurt but I had a seperation in the muscle:~( Everything just pushed through:~( That was after number 3 though. I had problems with my surgery becuase I got pregnant with Taylor less than a month after surgery putting both babies 11 months apart. But I think you will do fine and its best to get it repaired soon rather tha later IF you need to. If it can wait I would just have a tummy tuck after having all your babies:~D I wish I could afford one of those, lol! I had no idea what 4 kids would do to my body!

Thanks everyone! Cruz was baby #2. I seriously believe it was because I got pregnant with Cruz less then  6 months after Cooper passed away and it put a serious strain on already weak muscles!

I bought this maternity wrap tonight which is suppose to help pull your muscles back in place. I am hoping this will work and I will not need surgery!

Ugh, hopefully all will be well!

How many kids have you had?  I'm afraid something like that is happening to me, I"m on baby #6 (plus 2 miscarriages) and I've felt weird "bulges" in my abdominal muscles sometimes when I move.

it happens to us all on some degree that is why during a Tummy tuck they tighten those separated muscles... I had it done with my TT it is no sweat.. BTW if you are in the neighborhood for a tummy tuck it would be WAYYYYYY cheaper if you have it done at the same time since they are already opening you up..
