Ibuprofen while TTC

Hi everyone - question - did any of you avoid taking ibuprofen (advil) between ovulation and when AF should arrive?  I suffer from a lot of headaches and migraines and ibuprofen has always worked so well for my headaches.  Tylenol hardly helps at all.  Anyway, I've been finding it difficult during the 2ww.
Should I be avoiding ibuprofen during that time?

I have heard that it can mess up ovulation and make your AF lighter if taking daily. But thats just what I heard.............

I was told to take only Tylenol while TTC n during pregnancy. They say that as an precaution as you could be pregnant without knowing and taking Ibuprofen can harm the baby.

the good thing is that any interference ibuprofen has with ovulation and implantation is reversible .. it should only affect your current cycle.  then again .. I know women who are pill poppers who've had successful pregnancies so everything could go well for you .. just good to know to avoid in future .. good luck!!

my fertility clinic said no ibuprofen or naproxen at all while TTC since they may interfere with implantation.  they said tylenol is fine.

My RE told me only take Tylenol once we started a new cycle. Sounds like you'll see your doc soon enough to see what s/he advises. Good luck.

If you google ibuprofen and ovulation, several studies have indicated that ibuprofen can interfere with ovulation and implantation. You might want to ask your doc about an alternative med for your migraines. Good Luck! SSBD!

To be honest, during the 2WW there really isn't much you need to avoid.  I would double check with your Dr., but I doubt it's a problem.  Of course, once pregnancy is confirmed tylenol is the only thing you can really take that is not prescription.  Again, double check with your Dr., but I am pretty certain it's fine at this point.  Good luck, hope it's a BFP!!!!!
