I'm extremely tired within the past week ....

Now is that normal at 5 months?  My second and third month I could not sleep for anything!  It was horrible ...like I just wasn't tired and could not get comfy at all.  I can now sleep so well that I wanna sleep forever!  I actually slept until 12:30pm and I am still so dang tired and lazy.  When did everyone start feeling like this or is it just me?

Hi Valley - I think you're catching up on your sleep since you said that you had a hard time sleeping during your 1st trimester.  Enjoy the good sleep now as it will probably go away around 31-40 weeks & then you're back to not sleeping as well - groan-....

The same thing happened to me. I honestly couldn't believe how tired I was during my last pregnancy! I would get a full nights sleep, then only be awake for a couple hours before I would HAVE to take a nap. I NEVER had that energy they say you get in the middle of the pregnancy. Luckily all my kids were in school and I am a SAHM so I could sleep as much as I needed!!
Now, you are the same age as me, so maybe it is our age.Because with my other pregnancies that were in my 20'ies I never felt this at all. I felt that vibrant feeling you hear about. Although we aren't really "old", we are on the older end for having babies. So I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I'm 19 weeks and was just thinking the same thing a couple of days ago. I can't wait to crawl into bed every night. I thought we were suppose to have all kinds of energy at this point! I was so glad/relieved to read your post. Happy sleeping!

Oh yes, I was so tied I slept ALL the time. I felt like I was sleeping my life away but my doctor told me not to feel guilty about anything as it's the toughest job in the world growing a baby!!

I was just thinking the same thing - I'm just on 20 weeks and the last three days - I have been exhausted!! Didnt want to get out of bed this morning! Before this I have been feeling great. Apparently the baby really starts growing at this stage, so maybe its just taking a lot out of us?
