Well it was really a rough ride. I was not induced unless you consider the doctor breaking my water AFTER it starting leaking all over the place. I got to the hospital at shortly after 12 on the 8th of October supposedly for monitoring. I really thought I would be sent home but there was a definate pattern and although I was only dialated to 2 at the doctors office I was progressing. By the time I arrived at the hospital (two hours later, lol) I was at three (that was noonish) and pretty much stayed there until he broke my water at   6ish that evening.
was contracting really well but they wouldn't let me get out of bed because I had  had a p revious c-section (21 years prior) so they felt I needed 100 percent monitoring. The contractions were painful but really manageable. I turned down all pain med assistance to this point. (6pm)
The doctor asked me when he came in to break my water and hook me up to internal monitors if I wanted an epidural. Now he and I had been over this before but he always kind of insists and I stuck to my "no". HOWEVER!  did Task for IV pain meds about an hour later and felt awesome.
By 8ish pm (clock was at my back) I was out of my mind with pain. I had never felt anything like it in my life and shes my fourth! My doctor had to actually turn her to face my backside because she couldn't decend being faced forward. This pain is  undescribable to say the least. She was very big for me and I could feel her decend every inch of the way once she was turned. I was very tired (19 1/2 hours of labor and no sleep for over 24) and by this time the pain had consumed me. I was screaming (literally) for help with the pain and even requested an epidural even though I am scared to death of anything in my back regardless of its benefits. (bad experience) I was checked internally and was told it was too late I only had a lip left. ARGH! I thought I would die.
The pain got even worse and I couldn't desipher contractions from my body being literally torn apart (whole pelvis region) and stopped having the urge to push during the contractions. To top that off the internal monitors were not monitoring my contractios properly so the doctors and my fiance' couldn't hardly tell me if the contractions were coming down. All I wanted to know what when I would feel some relief. Ahhh! Just remembered.......I had Nubain.
I do not mean to scare anybody but I used to think giving birth was easy (no kidding! did it three times......one c-section and two other vbac's) this was the polor opposite.

Either way she is beautiful and weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and was 22 inches long. I still can't believe she is mine and came out of me. Wow!
