Induction at 36 weeks due to low amniotic fluid

Has anyone been induced around 36 weeks due to low amniotic fluid?? I just found out that my fluid is at 4.75 and will have to be induced next week. Baby is about 5 lbs.  my OB said most likely I'll end up with a c-section. I'm so worried and was hoping to hear from others who went through this??
Thanks

Thanks for the info. I'll be at 36 weeks so hopefully close enough to term. I had several ultrasounds that showed low normal fluid - 10 then the last one it was at 4.75 so that's when they decided I'll need the induction. However, if my U/S on Wed shows that it went up, them they will cancel it!! I'm still hopeful that this might happen. We shall see, but either way I am ready!!

Hey, my baby have been small this whole pregnancy and my fluid has been low also and they checked his growth at 36 wks nd he was 4lbs 10ozs and fluid was 6.sumthin cm nd she wanted to induce me but I wanted to at least be full term so she told me to *** back the nxt day to check the fluid and if its worse they had to do it cuz it culd mean your placenta is giving out and its only going to get worse so I came back the nxt day and his fluid jumped frm 6 cm to 13 cm and I didnt understand why but she said he probably used the bathroom and now ill b 38 wks thursday and depending on his weight and fluid I might get induced and the only reason they told u,u might have a c-section is cuz its sumtimes hard for u to push out a small baby but it dont mean u actually have to get it nd u might go full term or even to ur due date so I think everything will go well

Hi Sweetie, I had an emergency c section 23 years ago after 36 hrs,  I was induced before, then had 2 planned sections after that, you will b just fine. If you have any questions just ask!

Hugs,
Mel

I had this happen at 37 weeks.  I was induced and my son was 6 lbs 5 ozs and he was perfectly fine.  I did not have to have a C-section though.  I don't think you have anything to worry about.
