Just help me.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Here I would like to mention something about pregnancy of my girl friend.

Below mentioned  I am telling you in detail:

1. We had intercourse on 18th Nov 2007.
2. She went to other city for two weeks (from 25th Nov 2007 to 08th Dec 2007).
3. She had last period finished on 27th Nov 2007.
4. After she came back on 09th Dec 2007, we had again physical relation.
5. Though she was not getting period since 27th Nov 2007, she checked pregnancy test and found test +ve.
6. On 13th Jan 2007, Doctor (of good hospital) said - she had an infant of 11 weeks.

So I want to know, is it possible to have a baby of 11 weeks (as we did intercourse on 09th Dec 2007).
When I asked this to my gf. She said - the date includes the duration since she had last period. Is it true?

One thing more.
After intercourse how long we can do pregnancy test? Within one week after intercourse can we find that my partner is either pregnant or not?

You are kindly requested to give me proper answer.

Iam waiting for your reply.

They count your weeks pregnant starting at the first day of your last menstrual period.  So if your gf had her first day of her last period on Nov 27th (if I understood you correctly), she would be about 12 weeks pregnant (or close to it).  You say she finished her period Nov. 27th, which would put her dead on to about 11 weeks.  So yes, she is correct.  An ultrasound may have changed that by a week or two either way, so again, I would say she is telling you the truth.

Usually it takes 2 weeks after intercourse to get a positive pregnancy test.  That is because most women ovulate about 2 weeks before.  However, this can differ from women to women, and also, some home pregnancy tests will detect pregnancy earlier than others.

I hope this answers your questions.  Good luck to you.
