I have high thyroid peroxidase levels of 512 and antithyroglobulin of 84 and have had 3 miscarriages and may be threatening another one. I have Graves Disease. I went in for an ultrasound about 1 month ago, saw a yolk sac 1st week, 2nd week nothing was there, week 3 another yolk sac appear, which the Dr. states is slightly large, it appears to be a fetal pole, but no heartbeat, week 4, still the same yolk sac.
Is it possible to have a baby with high levels of thyroid peroxidase and antithyroglobulin antibodies? If so, who do I need to see or what do I need to do. I am 42yrs old and my time clock is ticking. Please advise.
Although there wasn't an overly large sac, I have just experienced my third m/c in a row. I am currently waiting to hear the test results on the tissue as well. I am so very sorry for your loss, and I hope the tests give you answers. Best of luck to you and take care.
oh yes! twice as a matter of fact. the first one was in dec. i m/c'ed. in fact, i started bleeding the day b4 my u/s but i went on in anyway. we found a hb but there was a huge yolk sac. i ended up m/cing. i got preggo again and went in tues for a follow up u/s. i was 9w5d. they found a 16mm (humongous) yolk sac and what they thought was an ambryo w/ no hb. my sac had actually shrunk from the prev. u/s. so it wasnt progressing. :( i started cramoing in the middle of the night last night, and when i went to the bathroom this morning there was blood. im not trying to discourage you. just wanted to tell you my story. theres not a whole lot out there about lg. yolk sacs, but you can google it, and some stuff should come up. i wish you all the best and good luck hun.
