Light brown discharge

Hi all. I am 39 and 8 weeks. About 2 weeks ago I started having light brown discharge at least once a day. 1st baby and scared. 1st exam w Pap smear yesterday and doc sent me for blood tests ultrasound and need to go back next week. Anyone else have this issue?

Brown blood is old blood, and is quite common in early pregnancy.  Try not to worry too much.  I actually bled from week 6 to 16 of my pregnancy.  Red, brown, heavy, light.  My twins are 25 months old.  Hang in there :)
